The BougeBouge Outaouais Festival is a multitude of activities with running distances of 1km, 2km, 5km, 10km, a magic show, Youth, Zen and Family Zones that will present different sports from our region and more. Something to do for a whole morning, a real sports festival!

FOAM zone : All finishers will be in the foam zone!

BIKE Zone: Try electric bikes and discover the Cycloparc: a cycling education park designed for children aged 2 to 8 is set up for the event. Two activities are offered: one to develop motor reflexes with modules including a seesaw, a mountain, a ground-level ramp, where children can go up and down; a mini-city where children learn to recognize road signs and to coexist with other road users. Bikes are provided and advance registration is necessary for a group of 15 to 20 children (20 children at a time). The schedule is as follows: 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am (4 hours of activities). You must register to reserve your spot.

The BougeBouge Outaouais Festival will take place at the Asticou Centre in partnership with numerous sports organizations, offering dedicated areas for different audiences as well as a variety of running distances (1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km). Additionally, purchasing a ticket for the race within the BougeBouge Outaouais Festival automatically grants full access to activities, shows, and all entertainment!

It is a non-profit organization founded and led by two-time Olympic triathlete Kathy Tremblay.

Our organization aims to prevent physical dropout among teenagers, young families, and retirees by bringing together people interested in active living in our communities.

All of our initiatives are based on the principle of self-motivations and centre on education, autonomy, the development of a sense of competence, and the need for social connection.

Thanks to your contribution, BougeBouge can continue to develop initiatives such as  running races, festivals, running clubs franchises, hosted events and adventure courses ! You can view our social impact for more details.

The BougeBouge Outaouais festival is THE sporting event of the year in Gatineau ! It’s a full day of activities for everyone. Run or walk one of our running courses, then discover the diversity of sports activities on the program. Divided into different zones, the 45-minute activities are the perfect opportunity to try new disciplines!

Bib pick up and new registration

Friday before the event

  • Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Saturday before the event

  • Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

On the day of the event: Only new registrants and exceptional cases may pick up their bibs on race morning.

The morning of the event, a limited quantity of new registrations will be available, first come, first served. Please note that the price may vary from one event to another. The pricing for last-minute registrations is usually higher than the fees previously published on the website, once taxes and platform fees are taken into account. Expect an additional minimum fee of $10 on top of the standard rates at the end of a transaction for all distances.


Bib number transfer policy

You can make a free bib transfer during the bib pick-up period with proof of payment of the ticket to be exchanged.


Registration fees

  • Ticket prices: see the box office.
  • Prices will increase by $5 per month during the 90 days prior to the event.
  • A platform fee of $2.95 +3% of the transaction as well as GST and QST will be added to your order.
  • Online registration closes the Thursday before the event.

Payment methods

  • New registration by bank transfer, during the number collection period only.
  • Online ticketing: Visa, Mastercard, Paypal.

Cancellation Policy

  • Race tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by BougeBouge. In this case, BougeBouge will refund the ticket price and the service fee charged at the time of purchase.

Included in race registration

  • A finisher’s prize will be given to you at the finish line and can vary according to the season such as: a cap, a toque, a bandana, a key chain, a t-shirt etc. The organizers reserve a surprise for all the races.
  • The photographers will publish a photo album of the event on our Facebook page! Like our Facebook page in order to receive notifications of uploaded photos!

Locker room

No checkroom is provided for this purpose. We suggest that you leave your belongings and equipment in your car or in the company of a trusted person.


PARKING, BIKING AND PUBLIC TRANSIT

You will be able to park directly at the Asticou Center in parking lots P-3 and P-4.

PLEASE NOTE THAT VEHICLE MOVEMENTS WILL BE BLOCKED DURING THE RUNNING EVENTS. Please plan your arrival accordingly or park in the surrounding streets. Also, you may NOT park at Metro Plus.

There will be a bike area where you can safely leave your bike. It’s free!

Washroom

There will be chemical toilets near the start.


Timing

The timing of the course is done by the company sportstats. By clicking on this link, you will find your results.

The results will be classified by age category (U5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, … up to 60 years +)


Water station

One or more refreshment stations will be available on the course.

Course Certification

All our running events are done with the Quebec Athletic Federation (FAQ).

The 10km distance is GOLD certified by the Quebec Athletic Federation (FAQ).


HEADPHONES

The Quebec Track and Field Federation does not recommend the use of headphones during the race. If you wish to run with music, you must be able to hear outside sounds such as a runner asking you to yield or a volunteer giving you instructions. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants and volunteers.


Eco-responsability

Please put the waste in the right containers.

Do not throw waste or masks on the ground during your activity.

Bring your own water bottle for refilling at the tap.
