BougeBouge 5km Montreal Underground

The unique BougeBouge 5km Montreal Underground is back!

Montreal’s underground network is one of the city’s most beautiful jewels. This underground network covers 32 kilometers of tunnels and is visited by nearly 183 million people every year. We will be running a 5km from one end to the other, starting at Cours Mont-Royal and ending at Complexe Desjardins.

Do you feel like moving?

  • A non-profit organization founded and directed by two-time Olympian in triathlon Kathy Tremblay
  • The mission of our organization is to prevent the physical dropout of teenagers, young families and retirees by bringing together active living actors in the communities.
  • All of our initiatives are based on the principle of self-determined motivations that put education, the need for autonomy, the development of a sense of competence and the need for social connection at the heart of its actions.

BougeBouge is also involved with youth in schools! As of April 2021, we have reached more than 18,000 youth in 62 schools in eleven regions of Quebec through our Adventure projects, From Coast to Coast

Thanks to your contribution, BougeBouge can continue to develop initiatives such as running races, festivals, running club franchises, animations and adventure courses!

  • Over the past few months, BougeBouge has been coming up with new ideas to give runners a unique experience in collaboration with Destination Centre-Ville, Ivanhoe Cambridge, the City of Montreal and the Borough of Ville-Marie.
  • Montreal Underground, or Montreal Underground Pedestrian Network (MUPN), is the underground city network of Montreal. This underground network covers 32 kilometers of tunnels. Since 2004, it has been officially known as the RÉSO. The tunnels and galleries connect many office buildings, residential complexes, shopping centers, universities, luxury homes and hotels from the inside. The tunnels also contain a wide range of restaurants and stores from the very chic to the inexpensive. In fact, Montreal’s underground is estimated to contain nearly 12% of all downtown businesses. Montreal’s underground network makes it possible to store while avoiding the bad weather of the Quebec winter.
To make this event happen BougeBouge had to collaborate with more than 17 private properties. But the result is worth it because running a 5km through this huge indoor labyrinth with emblematic corridors makes us very proud.
