# BougeBouge Marathon and Verdun Festival 2026

It is a non-profit organization founded and led by two-time Olympic triathlete Kathy Tremblay.

Our organization aims to prevent physical dropout among teenagers, young families, and retirees by bringing together people interested in active living in our communities.

All of our initiatives are based on the principle of self-motivations and centre on education, autonomy, the development of a sense of competence, and the need for social connection.

Thanks to your contribution, BougeBouge can continue to develop initiatives such as  running races, festivals, running clubs franchises, hosted events and adventure courses ! You can view our social impact for more details.

Bib pick up and new registration

Friday, September 11th 2026

  • Time: 2:30 pm to 7 pm

Note:

  • Arrive with your confirmation number in hand.
  • A colleague can pick up bibs for a group.
  • A limited quantity of new registrations will be available, first come, first served. Please note that the price may vary from one event to another, with generally higher rates for last-minute registrations, once taxes and platform fees are taken into account.
  • Only exceptional cases that were unable to collect their bib on the pre-race pick-up day can do so on the day of the event at Quai 5160 near the starting line.

On-site registration

On-site registrations are accepted up to one hour before the start time of the selected race. To avoid delays and ensure your participation, we strongly recommend registering online in advance.

No spots or bibs are guaranteed on-site, and no delayed starts will be allowed.


Deadline to receive a personalized bib

To receive a personalized bib with your first name, you must be registered no later than 10 days before the event.

Registrations completed after this deadline will receive a standard bib.


Medal distribution

Personalized medals are only available during online registration and must be added to your order when selecting your race distance.

Once online registration is closed, it is no longer possible to purchase them through BougeBouge.

Participants who purchased a personalized medal will receive it when picking up their bib. It can be attached to the generic keychain-style medal given at the finish line.

Please note: All participants will receive the standard BougeBouge finish medal upon arrival.


Registration fees

  • Ticket prices: see the box office at the bottom of the page.
  • Prices will increase by $5 per month during the 90 days prior to the event.
  • A platform fee of $2.95 +3% of the transaction as well as GST and QST will be added to your order.
  • Online registration closes 10 days before the event in order to print your names on the bibs

Payment methods

  • New registration by bank transfer, during the number collection period only.
  • Online ticketing: Visa, Mastercard, Paypal.

Bib number transfer policy

You can make a free bib transfer during the bib pick-up period with proof of payment of the ticket to be exchanged.


Cancellation Policy

  • Race tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by BougeBouge. In this case, BougeBouge will refund the ticket price and the service fee charged at the time of purchase.

Included in race registration

  • A finisher’s prize will be given to you at the finish line and can vary according to the season such as: a cap, a toque, a bandana, a key chain, a t-shirt etc. The organizers reserve a surprise for all the races.
  • The photographers will publish a photo album of the event on our Facebook page! Like our Facebook page in order to receive notifications of uploaded photos!

Clear Instructions for Race Participants:

1. Finish Line for Participants:

  • All participants who finish the race must use the **left corridor**.
  • The **right space** is reserved for athletes continuing their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th laps of 10.55 km per loop.

2. Starting Points:

  • The start of the 21.1 km and 42.2 km races is under the finish arch.
  • The start of the 10 km and 5 km race is 550 meters ahead of the finish arch.

3. Number of Loops:

  • 21.1 km runners must complete 2 loops of the course.
  • 42.2 km runners must complete 4 loops of the course. You are responsible for keeping track of your own laps
IMPORTANT CUT-OFF for the Marathon:

At the 31st km, just before completing the 3rd loop of the 42 km, there will be a cut-off point. If participants do not pass before 3h29, they will not be allowed to continue onto the 4th and final loop of the marathon. Instead, they will be directed to the FINISH corridor to collect their prize. Participants will be able to see the checkpoint list by kilometer.

Parking

  • You can also get off at the Angrignon metro station, a 2-km walk away, or take the metro to Verdun and then bus 107 West to Bannantyne (8 min), which drops you off right in front of the starting point.
  • Douglas Parking Lot (paid parking $)
  • Parking will be available only on the streets. Boulevard Saint Laurent has several parking spaces.

Restrooms

There are restrooms at the start and finish (indoor or portable restrooms), as well as along the course—see MyMap.

Water Station

We strongly recommend bringing your own hydration vest so you can remain self-sufficient throughout the race while contributing to a more environmentally responsible event.There will be several water stations along the course. Check the “MyMap” tab to see the locations of the aid stations along the course.

Eco-responsibility and community outreach initiatives

  • Please put your garbage in the proper recycling bins.
  • Do not throw garbage or masks on the ground during your activity.
  • We are working hard to ensure that all our events meet our eco-responsible goals.
  • We also invite you to read our article explaining the BougeBouge legacy or community outreach initiative.
  • You can make a free bib transfer during the bib pick-up period with proof of payment of the ticket to be exchanged.
    Listener
  • The Quebec Athletics Federation does not recommend wearing headphones during the race. If you wish to run with music, you must be able to hear outside sounds such as a runner asking you to yield or a volunteer giving you instructions. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants and volunteers.

Timing

The timing of the course is done by the company sportstats. By clicking on this link, you will find your results.

The results will be classified by age category (U5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, … until 60 years +)

Sanction and Course Certification

Our event is sanctioned GOLD by Athletics Quebec. The 5km, 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km distances are also certified by Athletics Canada. Our marathon is recognized as a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon.
