The Valley of the Temples, in Agrigento, also known as the “Divine Valley of the Gods”, is the most famous archaeological site in Sicily. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes mostly Doric temples dedicated to Greek deities, necropolises and remains of the walls of the ancient Greek city of Akragas, which was one of the most important cities of Magna Graecia. Over the centuries, the Valley of the Temples has been a source of inspiration for many poets, philosophers and painters.

Depending on the route you choose, you can discover the temple of Olympian Zeus and the remains of other temples or the temple of Hercules, the temple of Concord (almost intact) and the temple of Hera (or Juno).
