Uvita y Bahía Ballena

Costa rica

At 45 minutes drive from Manuel Antonio National Park, there is a treasure for cetaceans and especially humpback whales: Marino Ballena National Park, known for its wild beaches and its famous tombolo shaped like a whale tail.

You have the opportunity to take a boat trip to observe dolphins and humpback whales in season. Next to the small colorful village of Uvita, you will have the opportunity to enjoy its beautiful beaches. Not far from there, there are the Nauyaca falls but also the Baru refuge which is of great biological importance because it shelters several different tropical habitats (mangroves, primary and secondary forests, beaches, rivers).
