Santorini

Greece

Santorini, located in the Aegean Sea, is one of the Cyclades islands.

Its atypical landscapes were shaped by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC.

The architecture of the island with its white cubic houses with cobalt blue roofs, clinging to cliffs overlooking the sea, including the blue domes of the churches Agios Spyridonas and Anastaseos in Oia, is very particular to this island. Cats, of which there are about 5000 on the island, often grace the photos of these beautiful places.

If Oia is particularly known for its sunsets, the island also abounds in magnificent beaches of black, red and white lava pebbles.
