Plymouth

England

It was from this port city that the Pilgrim Fathers first set sail for North America on the ship Mayflower in 1620.

Plymouth’s unique environment of wild moorland and beaches makes it particularly attractive. Its natural harbor is one of the largest and most beautiful in the world.

Plymouth is also nice for its cobblestone streets in the Barbican district where you can discover art galleries that exhibit the work of local artists, some of whom are recognized worldwide.

Finally, the 200 year old Plymouth Gin Distellery is not to be missed; it is located in an old monastery and was a must for pilgrims leaving for the “new world”.
