BougeBouge Installs Scooter Racks at Several Schools
BougeBouge continues to get people moving—both literally and figuratively. Over the past few weeks, the organization has installed scooter racks at several schools across the Greater Montreal area, L’Île-Perrot, and the Outaouais region. This initiative encourages students to choose active transportation for their daily commute.
Encouraging Active Transportation
The goal is to make active transportation easier and more accessible. Thanks to these new scooter racks, young people now have a convenient and secure place to park their scooters at school or around town.
As a result, BougeBouge aims to create an environment that encourages physical activity from an early age. Active transportation then becomes a natural part of everyday life.
Participating Schools
Many schools have already received a scooter rack. These include École François-Perrot, École à l’Unisson, École Gentilly, École Jean-Paul-Riopelle, École Cheval-Blanc, École Rose-des-Vents, École secondaire de l’Île, École Notre-Dame, École du Vieux-Verger, École Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, and École de la Samare.
This strong local participation demonstrates the importance schools place on promoting the health and well-being of young people.
A Partnership with Local Municipalities
In addition, the Town of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot and the Pincourt Municipal Pool have also welcomed these new scooter racks.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote active mobility. Through close collaboration between BougeBouge and local municipalities, new infrastructure continues to be developed. Together, they are helping create communities that are more active, safer, and more accessible for everyone.
